The Northern Crops Institute (NCI) is seeking a Communications & Marketing Specialist. This position will work with the Communications Team to assist in the development and production of communication and marketing materials to enhance NCI's mission of promoting northern grown crops through its worldwide educational programming and technical support activities.
Position Description
The Communications & Marketing Specialist is responsible for collaborating to create, solicit, coordinate, and manage content pertinent to NCI’s services and programs. This position coordinates NCI’s webinar series, and assists in maintenance of NCI’s contact database for the purposes of marketing and communications. The person in this position can expect to work across a broad spectrum of communications platforms and mediums, including social media, videography, design, and virtual learning. Occasional travel, evening, or weekend hours required.
Minimum Qualifications
B.S. degree in Marketing, Communications, Ag Communications, Education, or a related field
Strong written and verbal communication skills
High level of organizational skill
Proficient in Adobe Premiere, InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator (or similar software)
Experience creating and executing marketing plans
Ability to produce quality video content
Preferred Qualifications
2 years related experience
Demonstrated understanding of the agricultural industry
Direct experience with videography and video editing
