Summary: Responsible for communication through the use of visual and audio media, producing a variety of media products for Federation and Insurance Companies as needed to promote legislative issues, services, and membership.

 

Essential Duties: The following duties are representative of those required for this position.  All of the duties may not be required and additional duties may be assigned.

  • Under direction of Director of Public Affairs produces creative and engaging videos (shooting, editing, and voicing) to support the policy mission of the Federation and insurance companies, website, and social media.

  • Assists with producing podcasts and additional audio/visual needs.

  • Assists with insurance and federation television and radio advertising.

  • Assists with writing content for MOFB products, including website, magazine articles, social media and other outlets.

  • Provides excellent customer service to all external and internal customers and maintains a good working relationship with field and Home Office personnel.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

 

Education and/or Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in a field related to Communications or Journalism.

  • Experience in journalism or communications preferred.

  • Experience with production agriculture or agriculture policy preferred.

  • Experience in trouble shooting technical problems beneficial.

  • Experience in video and audio production.

 

Skills

  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite software required, specifically including Premiere, After Effects, Audition, Photoshop, and Illustrator.

  • Ability to creatively and effectively present information to members and the general public.

  • Ability to interview and interpret story material for mass media.

  • Ability to manage time and to work independently.

  • Ability to use video camera and audio equipment.

  • Ability to edit photos, video and audio.

  • Ability to write clearly and concisely, using proper grammar and creating a compelling narrative.

  • Must be available for occasional overnight travel.

  • Must have valid Missouri Driver License.
