Job Description

State agencies may appoint interns from the eligible applicants to the State Internship Program or they may post a specific internship opportunity and select from those applicants who meet the program requirements.

The State Internship Program consists of temporary positions that could be part-time or full-time. Students enrolled in institutions of higher education and working toward an undergraduate degree (including associate's degrees or certifications by the Oklahoma Department of Career and Technology Education) or a graduate degree are encouraged to apply.

Internships may be paid or unpaid and may include paid leave and holidays, and health and retirement benefits if eligible. In order to maintain an internship appointment, an intern must continue to make progress toward earning a degree until completion of all internship requirements.
