National Snaffle Bit Association (NSBA) promotes the advancement of the show horse industry through competition, education, and opportunity. As a leading organization in western and hunter under saddle events, NSBA celebrates the values of integrity, sportsmanship, and community.


NSBA is seeking a creative and driven Media and Marketing Intern to join our team during the 2025 NSBA World Championship Show. This is a dynamic, hands-on opportunity for an individual looking to gain real-world experience, working closely with the Marketing Department to assist in the planning, production, and execution of marketing projects and digital storytelling at one of the industry’s premier events.


Duration

2 months, based in Weatherford, TX – individual must travel and attend NSBA World Championship Show August 7-17, 2025 in Tulsa, Oklahoma


Responsibilities:

Interns will have a focused department but will gain well-rounded experience in all parts of the association.


Media Marketing Focus:

  • Collaborate with the marketing team to assist in the execution of media projects across print, digital, and social platforms

  • Help create graphics, marketing emails, and professional copy for social media, press releases, and advertising

  • Coordinate with a team of photographers to gather and edit content, including photos, videos, and behind-the-scenes activities, with a focus on daily social media coverage during the NSBA World Show.

  • Assist with capturing, editing, and producing photos, videos, and reels that align with current trends (if videography experience).

  • Perform various other marketing and media duties as assigned


Requirements:

  • College juniors, seniors or recent graduates majoring in agriculture, journalism, marketing, communications or a related field preferred

  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite

  • Experience in photography, videography a plus

  • Interest in the equine industry and eagerness to learn about equine competition

  • Drive to learn and ask questions

  • Self-motivated, creative thinker with a sense of responsibility

  • Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines and contribute to a team environment


Housing & Transportation:

Interns are responsible for transportation, room and board. NSBA can provide housing leads if needed.


Travel expenses are covered and lodging and meals provided for the duration of the NSBA World Championship Show.
