Media Internship - Red Angus Youth Expo

Don’t have the flexibility for a full summer internship, but still want to gain real-world experience and useful skills? All college students may apply for the Red Angus Youth Expo (RAYE) internship. The show intern will assist the Red Angus Association staff during an approximate two-week long internship. The Red Angus Youth Expo will take place June 8-13, 2025. Interns will arrive in Springfield, Missouri prior to the RAYE and will work through the duration of the event, including the wrap-up.

Requirements:

- Applicants must be a college student with an interest in agricultural communications and association work- Applicants cannot be an exhibitor or competitor at the 2025 RAYE- Applicants must have show/media experience- Applicants must be detail-oriented, self-sufficient, motivated, and work well with others 

Responsibilities:

- Take over the Junior Red Angus social media accounts including Facebook, Instagram, and Snapchat- Daily photo and video coverage - Grand and reserve champion graphics on show days- Any other duties deemed necessary by the junior coordinator

Compensation:

The Red Angus Youth Expo Media Internship is a compensated position. It will also include hotel accommodations and meals. 

Process:

Must submit a cover letter, resume, and two references. After the deadline period, interviews will be scheduled on an as-needed basis.
