Join our team and come to work at our headquarter location, a beautiful 400-acre ranch tucked away only 35 minutes from the beautiful Fort Worth Stockyards. 


Our Graphic Designers work closely with the NRS Marketing strategy team to assist in the creation of graphics and various visual aspects for NRS – including, but not limited to – advertising elements, logos, collateral, in-house signage, digital media content for web and social media and more. The Graphic Designer also ensures all graphics are in accordance with brand style guidelines and reinforces NRS’s brand.  


This position is full time, on-site in Decatur, Texas. 


Duties: 

  • Create graphic/visual designs for the NRS brand ensuring all designs adhere to brand guidelines and quality standards to maintain a cohesive visual identity 

  • Attention to detail, taking feedback from peers, marketing team and creative director to refine designs 

  • Demonstrate a positive attitude toward constructive criticism 

  • Meet and manage project deadlines to ensure timely delivery, reviewing project boards frequently providing status updates on projects. 

  • Ensure all final copies of work are stored according to outlined SOP 

  • Project a positive attitude toward the organization and co-workers. 

  • Attend photoshoots, assist photographers as needed to ensure they have clear instruction on what is needed to complete design layouts 

  • Travel locally as needed 

  • Perform additional duties as assigned 


Skills: 

  • Have a or currently working on an education in graphic design or a related field preferred  

  • Proficient in Adobe InDesign as main program and Photoshop and Illustrator as secondary design programs. 

  • Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office and Excel 

  • Strong desire and aptitude to continue learning and take on new challenges 

  • Presents a professional attitude both in the office and when representing NRS externally 

  • A natural multi-tasker and self-starter who is able to maintain focus in an open space work environment 

  • Detail-oriented, with strong organizational skills to manage a continuous workflow in a high-volume, multi-tasking fast-paced environment, anticipating needs & changing dynamics, and managing accordingly 

  • Ability to meet tight deadlines with quality work and interpret feedback 

  • Strong attention to detail with excellent written and verbal communication skills 

  • Organization skills, ability to multi-task 

  • Self-motivated and able to work independently but also harmoniously as part of a team 

  • Experience working in fast pace work environments with possible same day deadlines 


Preferred Experience or Skills: 

  • Degree in graphic design or other related field 

  • Preferred 1-2 years of work experience in a similar field with similar responsibilities 

  • Editing experience with working knowledge of Photoshop and Illustrator 

  • Working knowledge of printing production process 

  • Knowledge of Asana or similar project management software 

  • Experience in or around any aspect of the western lifestyle and knowledge of various tack and western products
