Job Summary
The Creative Content Specialist is responsible for visually telling the Red Angus story across video, photography, and multimedia platforms. This role produces high-quality visual content that elevates the breed’s image, strengthens brand presence, and supports marketing, membership, and educational initiatives. The Creative Content Producer travels to key events and member operations to capture compelling stories, while building a robust, organized content library that can be leveraged across print, digital, and promotional campaigns. Working closely with the communications, digital, and magazine teams, this position plays a critical role in shaping how the Red Angus breed is seen and experienced across the industry.
Primary Focus
Tell the Red Angus story visually better than any breed association through best-in-class video, photography, and multimedia storytelling.
Key Responsibilities
Visual Storytelling & Content Production - 25%
Product high-end video features that showcase breeders, programs and breed initiatives.
Capture professional photography at association events and on location.
Develop compelling ranch stories, member spotlights and event recaps that highlight the people behind the breed.
Assist with written content, interviews and captions as needed to support visual storytelling.
Educational Content Development - 20%
Develop visual educational videos that help inform and educate membership on association programs, breed advantages and industry-relevant topics.
Produce instructional videos, explainer graphics and visual guides that simplify complex concepts for producers and commercial cattlemen.
Ensure educational content is accessible, visually compelling and aligned with the associations messaging and strategic initiatives.
Social-First & Digital Content Creation - 15%
Develop engaging, platform-specific content concepts designed for social media performance.
Create short-form and long-form video content optimized for digital engagement and reach.
Collaborate with the digital team to support ongoing campaigns and promotions with strong visual assets.
Content Library & Asset Management - 10%
Build and maintain a well-organized achieve of b-roll, photography, testimonials and event footage.
Tag, categorize and store assets for easy cross-departmental access and long-term use.
Ensure visual assets are readily available for magazine features, digital campaigns, sponsorship initiatives and educational materials.
Event Coverage & Industry Presence - 10%
Travel with Director of Communications to key industry events, national shows, sales and member operations to capture content on-site.
Represent the Red Angus brand professionally while interacting with breeders, partners and industry stakeholders.
Identify emerging stories, influential programs and timely topics to visually document and promote.
Cross-Departmental Collaboration 10%
Support magazine visuals by providing photography and multimedia elements that enhance editorial content.
Assist marketing, membership and sponsorship teams with visual assets that strengthen campaigns and initiatives.
Work closely with the communications team to align visual storytelling with organizational priorities and messaging.

REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Film Production, Marketing, or related field or equivalent experience.
3+ years of experience in videography, photography, and multimedia content production
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, Lightroom, Photoshop. After Effects)
Demonstrated ability to produce high-quality video and photography in event and on-location environments.
Strong understanding of social media content formats and digital engagement trends
Ability to travel to industry events, ranches, and association activities
Experience organizing and managing large digital asset libraries
Basic writing skills to assist with captions, short features, and content descriptions
Knowledge of the livestock or agricultural industry preferred but not required
Ability to work independently with strong time management and consistent communication
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORKING CONDITIONS*
This position requires:
Ability to sit, stand, and work at a computer for extended periods of time.
Ability to use hands and fingers for typing, operating standard office equipment, and handling digital tools.
Ability to view and interpret information on screens and in print.
Ability to occasionally lift, carry, or move materials weighing up to 25 pounds (e.g., event or promotional materials).
Ability to travel occasionally and participate in on-site events, including walking and standing for extended periods.
Primarily an office-based or remote/hybrid work environment with standard office equipment.
Regular use of computers, phones, and digital communication tools.
Occasional work outside the office at events, trade shows, production sites, or field locations.
May require occasional evening or weekend work to support campaigns, deadlines, or events.
