Convention Intern - Texas Auctioneers Association

Since 1956 the Texas Auctioneers Association has been actively promoting and enhancing the auction method of marketing through education, public relations, and information sharing.


The convention internship will allow students to connect with others in the auction business and gain experience working in the meeting and event planning industry.


Responsibilities

  • Includes a range of responsibilities including setting up meetings, registering attendees, auction item receiving and movement, assisting speakers, and other general duties as required.

  • Assist TAA staff with event management

  • Assist auction management company staff as needed

  • Assist TAA board of directors as needed


Qualifications

  • Be available to work June 12-15, 2025 in Fort Worth, Texas (no events on June 15)

  • Must be at least 18 years of age

  • Auction or meeting industry experience preferred, but not required

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills


Provided

  • Lodging at Marriott Champions Circle (you may be roomed with another intern of the same gender

  • All meals, including breakfast, lunch, and dinner
