Internship Responsibilities
Communications - Broadcasting & Journalism: Research topics of interest that are newsworthy or industry relevant to conduct interviews for radio airing and SEO blog publishing.
Perform professional news broadcasted interviews.
Edit interviews for radio, understanding the importance of timing to capture/edit the highlighted points into seamless compelling 2-7 minute segment stories.
All aired interviews require that reporter to be proficient in blog writing about the topic(s) to be published on both a blog and on YouTube.
Voice Acting: Comfortable in understanding how to make one’s voice pleasurable for listening using voice fluctuation to record Voice-Over for commercials, reporting, etc.
Content Creation: Provide resources to the Social Media Analyst.
Photos, Videos, Reels, Question Conversation Starters, Sharing of Website links, etc. Searching for new groups to share related content and growing page followings.
Audience Engagement: Proactively interact with audience comments, initiating conversations and fostering engagement. Explore new groups and avenues to expand reach and audience base.
Aggressive Continuous Improvement & Research: Discovering innovative ideas to share with the leaders of West River Strategies. Advise leaders on HOT topics or breaking news.
Continuous Improvement: Implement team decisions and focus with high accuracy to detail.
Qualifications:
Detail-oriented, self-motivated individual comfortable in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Proficiency in Professionalism - social media, email, phone.
Ability to learn new programs quickly.
Experience with Adobe Products: Audition (Photoshop is a plus), Broadcast Reporting on location using Live Stream sharing programs is a plus and fluent in Canva Pro.
Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and problem solve is a must.
