Writer and Communications Manager - Ever.Ag

Position Summary

As the Writer and Communications Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving our communications strategy, making a significant impact on our team and the industry as a whole.


In this multifaceted position, you will wear many hats as a content creator, editor, and media relations expert. You’ll have the opportunity to cultivate meaningful relationships with media outlets and influencers while crafting compelling content across diverse channels. From press releases and website content to engaging social media posts and impactful ad copy, your writing will resonate with our audience and elevate our brand presence.


You will collaborate closely with a talented marketing team and engage with key stakeholders, subject matter experts, and thought leaders throughout Ever.Ag to help tell our story. Your efforts will support our demand generation, enhance brand awareness, and drive customer retention—all while amplifying our media presence and thought leadership opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop or edit communications content including website content, landing pages, email marketing, social media channels

  • Create and update marketing collateral including flipbooks, eBooks, datasheets

  • Coordinate branding strategies, including names and logos for individual solutions and product suites

  • Assist creating product launch strategies

  • Responsible for customer newsletters

  • Develop and coordinate advertising campaigns and activities

  • Help write, distribute and obtain positive placement for corporate communications and press releases

  • Establish and manage standards for corporate communications (templates, letterhead, etc.)

  • Develop and manage customer surveys to determine attitudes, needs, concerns, etc.

  • Leverage CRM application for marketing customer segmentation and market analysisLeverage marketing automation platform to send newsletters, webinar invitations and campaign related emails

  • Work with senior leadership to establish and maintain KPI’s

  • Gain deep knowledge of the agricultural industry and Ever.Ag solutions and services

  • Assist coordination with event management and digital printing/working via outsourced printers

  • Provide sales support on projects, PowerPoint creation, etc.

  • Provide other internal company support as needed (internal newsletters, etc.)

  • Other duties as assigned

*Note: This is not a people manager position

 

Qualifications

Must Have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in public relations, communications, marketing or similar required. An agriculture focused degree would be a plus.

  • A minimum of 4 years’ experience writing (ad/product copy, emails, long-form, press releases, pitches, SEO/website), editing and media relations

  • Experience using media relations software or platforms (Cision, BusinessWire or similar), Adobe Creative Cloud, CSM (Wordpress), MA (Marketo), SEO (Search Engine Optimization), Word Processing software, Spreadsheet software, publishing software, web tools, email and common Internet software

  • Portfolio containing relevant writing samples.


Nice to Have:

  • Strategic communicator who can build relationships and be persuasive with ease

  • A team player with experience working with a group of strong individuals with varying expectations and objectives

  • Strong attention to detail, grammar and brand guidelines - easily recognizing when content is misaligned

  • Ability to take on several diverse projects at the same time

  • A quick learner with the skillset to connect the dots and see the larger pattern of opportunities amongst business goals and objectives

  • Knowledge and practice with AP Style

  • Experience with media and message training

  • Experience with agriculture, food and/or technology industries and media will be given priority consideration

  • Language Ability: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, Solid understanding of the field. Applies in-depth knowledge to solve complex problems independently.

  • Collaborates effectively with cross-functional teams and clients. May mentor junior staff.
