Social & Content Manager - Country Natural Beef
Full-Time • Remote
Description
Country Natural Beef is upleveling our consumer meat brand — the public face of a cooperative of family ranchers who have done the right things for the right reasons since 1986. The Content Manager is the person who tells that story to the world.
This is not simply a posting job. It is a storytelling and brand-stewardship role. You will help people understand who we are, why our beef is different, and why a cooperative of family ranchers committed to their land, their animals, and their communities is worth believing in. Working from the content and social media strategy set by the Director of Marketing, you will build the plans, create and produce the content, and grow our audience across every channel we own.
The role serves three primary functions: 1) Build content and social media plans and editorial calendars from our strategy. 2) Identify the assets those plans require and get them made — capturing content directly where practical, and directing agencies, photographers, and contractors where greater production is needed. 3) Publish, analyze, and optimize performance across channels.
Responsibilities
Learn, protect, and consistently express the Country Natural Beef brand voice across every channel.
Translate the content and social media strategy set by the Director into editorial calendars, channel plans, and production schedules.
Turn ranch life, rancher stories, product education, and the larger food conversation into content that builds trust and draws people to our brand.
Identify the content and asset needs required to execute the plan.
Produce content directly where practical (writing, photography, video, social), and manage agencies, photographers, and contractors where greater scale or production value is required.
Manage day-to-day publishing and community engagement across social channels.
Measure, report, and optimize content and social performance against goals set with the Director.
Support upcoming brand and content initiatives with a coordinated rollout.
Qualifications
Location & Travel: Fully remote, open to candidates across the U.S., with a preference for the Pacific Northwest for easier access to our ranches and events. Periodic travel (approximately 10–15%) for content shoots at ranches and facilities, company meetings, and events.
Skills, Knowledge, and Experience
3–5 years in content and social media, translating strategy into effective content plans and execution.
A strong writer with a clear voice, and a portfolio spanning writing and visual production.
Hands-on photography and videography (capture and editing), with the judgment to know when to produce in-house versus direct external partners.
Fluency across major social platforms and their analytics; comfort setting goals and optimizing to them.
Self-directed and organized; thrives owning work end-to-end and growing with a role.
Genuinely drawn to food, land, and family ranching, and to telling stories that matter.
Preferred Qualifications
Food, agriculture, or values-based brands; Adobe Creative Suite; brand-building or refresh experience.
