About Us: Direct Farm Marketing is a fast-growing company dedicated to helping family-owned farms and ranches across the U.S. sell their products directly to consumers. We specialize in developing marketing infrastructure that tells the unique story of each farm and ranch, and equipping them with the tools needed to succeed in growing a direct to consumer operation.
Position Overview: We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Content Marketer & Copywriter to join our remote team on a freelance or part-time basis. This role requires someone who can expertly craft persuasive sales copy and develop low-fidelity wireframes for our web development team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of direct-to-consumer farm/ranch business models and be able to translate that knowledge into compelling web copy and email sequences.
Key Responsibilities:
Content Creation: Respond to content briefs to create persuasive and engaging copy for our clients' websites, including headings, subheadings, and paragraph content for all pages.
Wireframe Development: Develop low-fidelity wireframes that outline the structure and layout of web pages, incorporating web copy and graphic assets.
Sales Page Strategy: Understand and implement the customer journey on sales pages, ensuring the content is optimized for conversion.
Graphic Asset Management: Work with graphic assets provided by our design team, make suggestions for additional graphics, and source stock assets as needed.
Client Storytelling: Weave the unique story of each farm or ranch into the website, highlighting what makes their products special.
Email Marketing: Create custom email copy, including a 3-5 email welcome sequence tailored to each client, following our proven templates.
Collaboration: Work closely with the web development and graphic design teams to ensure cohesive and effective web pages.
Understanding of DTC Farm/Ranch Models: Have a strong understanding of direct-to-consumer farm/ranch business operations and apply this knowledge to all aspects of content creation.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in content marketing, copywriting, or a related field.
Strong copywriting skills, with a focus on persuasive sales copy.
Experience in developing wireframes and understanding web design principles.
Familiarity with direct-to-consumer sales strategies, particularly within the farm and ranch industry.
Ability to create and structure content that guides the customer journey on sales pages.
Experience in email marketing and creating custom email sequences.
Basic graphic design skills are a plus, including the ability to create graphics and logos.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
