Internships Overview

The Texas FFA Foundation is seeking TWO junior Interns to assist in the event planning, fundraising, and donor engagement of the Texas FFA Convention and LEADing a Legacy Social.


Each role provides hands-on experience in nonprofit event coordination, donor relations, and administrative support. The Texas FFA Foundation internship program is a two-year commitment which has proven to be a successful model. Interns will serve as a “junior” intern in their first year and then as “senior” intern – leading the program – in their second year.


Internship Timeline: May 1 - August 15, 2026

Location: Hybrid Work From Home & Texas FFA Foundation, 614 East 12 th Street, Austin, Texas 78701 - Travel as needed to Fort Worth and Corpus Christi for events

Wages: Paid internship, work related travel / meals paid

Available Internships:

Texas FFA Foundation Convention Intern

This paid internship will focus on planning and development activities associated with the annual Texas FFA Convention. Convention interns also attend and assitance with execution of the Foundation's Annual Leading a Legacy Social event.

Duties may include but are not limited to:

  • Working closely with the Fort Worth Host Committee

  • Assist Summer Leadership Team with coordination of Foundation Ambassador Program selection and administration.

  • Provide adminstrative support, including data entry and donor follow-up

  • Create and check event materials such as signage, brochures, etc., for accuracy

  • Coordinating supply needs such as contest judges, meals, activities, and hospitality associated with the convention and convention VIPs

  • Assist with administration of Texas FFA Foundation LEAD programming.

  • Assist with event logistics, including venue coordination and setup/breakdown.

  • Communicate and deliver exceptional customer service to sponsors and speical guests.

  • Special projects as assigned

Texas FFA Foundation Legacy Social Intern

This paid internship will focus on planning and development activities associated with the annual Texas FFA Foundation's LEADing a Legacy Social. Social interns also attend and assitance with execution of the Texas FFA Convention.

Duties may include but are not limited to:

  • Assist with event logistics, including venue coordination and setup/breakdown.

  • Coordinate raffles, auctions, and fundraising games, including item procurement and display.

  • Manage raffle/auction inventory, ensuring accurate tracking and descriptions.

  • Create event materials such as signage, social media graphics, and presentations.

  • Support volunteer coordination, including scheduling and task assignments.

  • Assist with guest experience efforts (check-in, registration, and attendee communication).

  • Provide administrative support, including data entry and donor follow-up.

  • Assist with execution and administration of annual Texas FFA Convention and Foudation LEAD Experience

  • Participate in pre-event planning and post-event wrap-up, including donor acknowledgments.
