The American Royal is seeking four talented individuals to assist with media coverage at the 125th American Royal Livestock Show and one talented individual to assist with media coverage during the World’s Series of Barbecue®. We will be selecting two candidates to help with each week of the show and one candidate for the Barbecue. Please include what week/event you would like to be considered for in your cover letter. Travel will not be reimbursed, and the American Royal will be responsible for lodging only. This educational experience pays a $500 stipend.
Eligibility:
An agriculture degree program is preferred but not required
Applicants applying for the Livestock Media Internship must be comfortable around livestock
Applicants should possess excellent communications skills and a strong work ethic
Knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud a plus
Responsibilities:
Assist the American Royal Communications team with media coverage
Create and post social media content on proper channels
Capture pictures before, during, and after the event
Highlight important stories that showcase our mission
Capture video content through contestant interviews, performances, etc.
