About the Department and/or College

Major/Essential Functions
Identifies and sustains ways to engage alumni of the School of Veterinary Medicine
Develops and implements a strategic plan for alumni relations
Executes periodic newsletter sent to alumni, partners, and friends of SVM
Works alongside the Texas Tech Alumni Association in the management of alumni data and information
Coordinates and hosts periodic alumni events (IE: TVMA gathering, tailgate, spring reception, distinguished alumni reception, etc.)
Partners with development team to identify, cultivate, and steward alumni giving
Oversees the scholarship awarding process for the School of Veterinary Medicine, including managing a master document of all scholarships awarded at SVM
Administers scholarship applications to current and incoming veterinary students
Coordinates and executes all scholarship thank you letters from students to scholarship donors
Evaluates endowment fund projections to estimate award amounts for next award cycle
Sits on SVM scholarship committee to ensure proper awarding takes place
Provides assistance to SVM development officers in management/stewardship of scholarship donors
Other duties and assignments as determined on a daily basis.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree with two years supervisory experience; OR a combination of education and/or supervisory experience to equal six years.
