About the Internship:

Are you passionate about the livestock industry and looking to gain hands-on experience in livestock show management? The AGJA Junior Classic Internship offers an exciting opportunity to be actively involved in the planning, management, and execution of AGJA Junior Classic shows and related events. This internship is ideal for college students who want to develop their skills in event coordination, educational programming, and industry networking.


Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the setup, organization, and daily operations of AGJA Classic.

  • Work with staff, volunteers, junior board members, and exhibitors to ensure a smooth and professional experience.

  • Help manage livestock entries, check-in processes, and results.

  • Support event logistics, including educational contests, event setup, and awards.

  • Assist with communications to exhibitors, junior board members, judges, and volunteers

  • Perform general tasks as needed to support the success of the event.


Qualifications:

  • College student

  • Not exhibiting at the 2025 AGJA Junior Classic

  • Experience working with cattle or livestock (preferred but not required).

  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

  • Willingness to work long hours, including weekends

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Basic knowledge of livestock show operations and industry standards (preferred).
