Details

  • Internship Length: September 1-November 30

  • Hours: 15 Hours/Week

  • Paid: Yes-$15/Hour

  • Location: Hybrid; Remote + Required in-person attendance for meetings in Maricopa County

  • Report to: Executive Director


Qualifications

The successful candidate will be a current student or recent graduate studying agriculture, communications, political science, economics, or law. A strong agriculture background is preferred but not required; though a strong passion for agriculture is a must.


Duties and Responsibilities

Weekly Blog

  • Craft one blog post per week with focus on current issues for Maricopa County agriculture

  • 800 word minimum


Member-Focused Communications

  • Conduct research within the membership to identify opportunities for support and communication from MCFB

  • Identify potential new opportunities for MCFB to engage with membership

  • Assist in coordinating member attendees for Arizona Farm Bureau Annual Meeting


Content Creation

  • During meetings and events, gather photo and video content to post for social media and the website

  • Create one post per week for each social channel to highlight blog topic


Membership Growth

  • Identify and communicate with three new organizations with partnership potential

  • Discover opportunities for MCFB to engage with potential new members; whether in person or digitally

  • Outline strategy to increase brand awareness for MCFB


Meetings

  • Attend all board meetings for duration of internship

  • Attend Arizona Farm Bureau State Annual Meeting

  • Other events possible as added to schedule

  • Dates Required

  • September 10th

  • October 8th

  • October 18th

  • November 4th-6th
