Graphic Designer - Arabian Horse Association (AHA)

Full-Time • Remote • Closes May 6

The Arabian Horse Association (AHA) is seeking a talented and detail-oriented Graphic Designer to join our dynamic marketing team. This role is ideal for a creative professional who thrives in both print and digital environments, is comfortable handling large-scale print projects, and is passionate about equestrian culture and community.

Position Overview:

As a Graphic Designer, you will play a vital role in shaping the visual identity of the Arabian Horse Association through compelling print and digital design. You’ll be responsible for formatting our 200–500-page show programs with precision, designing eye-catching advertisements, developing impactful branding assets, and creating consistent, on-brand visual content for web and social platforms. You will also update organization materials—manuals, forms, member documents—to ensure consistency and professionalism across all touchpoints.

This position is fully remote and reports to the Marketing & Branding Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own the design, layout, and production of five large-scale print programs annually (200–500+ pages), ensuring accuracy and production-ready files.

  • Design print and digital advertisements for AHA publications, sponsors, and promotional campaigns.

  • Create and update logos, branding guidelines, style guides, and templates.

  • Update and maintain internal and external documents—manuals, forms, guides—ensuring they reflect current branding and information.

  • Produce web graphics, email banners, and social media visuals as needed.

  • Collaborate daily with marketing, events, registry, and sponsorship teams—communicating ideas clearly, integrating feedback, and improving workflows.

  • Prepare files for digital publishing and professional print production, including full pre-press setup.

  • Manage multiple deadlines and projects independently in a remote environment.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, or related field.

  • 5–7 years of professional graphic design experience preferred, with a strong emphasis on long-form print layouts.

  • Mastery of Adobe InDesign for multi-hundred-page document formatting.

  • Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and Canva.

  • Must be familiar with pre-press and professional print production processes.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication—you can articulate design rationale and collaborate with non-designers.

  • Highly organized, self-motivated, and able to juggle multiple, deadline-driven projects.

  • Strong portfolio showcasing publication design, ad layouts, branding, and digital graphics.

  • Detail-oriented with an outstanding sense of typography, color, and composition.

  • Collaborative mindset and openness to constructive feedback.

  • Passion for horses or the western/equestrian industry is a plus.

Bonus Skills:

  • Marketing knowledge or direct experience partnering with marketing teams.

  • Experience with nonprofit organizations or membership-based associations.

  • Light web design or UX/UI experience.
