Graduate Assistant – Communications & Media - Robert M. Kerr Food & Agricultural Products Center (FAPC)

Position Overview:

The Communications & Media Graduate Assistant plays a key role in executing and coordinating FAPC’s strategic communications, marketing and media initiatives. This position supports highlevel storytelling across research, industry partnerships, Extension programming, and major events, while gaining professional-level experience in applied agricultural communications.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and execute photography and video projects highlighting FAPC research, facilities and industry impact

  • Write and edit communications materials including web content, features, newsletters,

    and promotional copy

  • Support social media strategy, content planning and analytics tracking

  • Assist with branding, design and visual storytelling projects

  • Provide communications support for major events, workshops and symposiums

  • Coordinate with faculty, staff, students and external partners on communications needs

  • Mentor or help supervise undergraduate interns as appropriate


Required / Preferred Qualifications:

  • Admission to a graduate program at Oklahoma State University (Agricultural

    Communications or related field preferred)

  • Strong writing, editing and storytelling skills

  • Demonstrated experience with photography, video or digital media

  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud (Premiere Pro, Lightroom, Illustrator preferred)

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines

  • Professional communication skills and attention to detail
