Fall Internship Season: Mid-August – End of December


Description:

  • Our Fall Internship offers hands-on experience on a large-scale horse operation, ideal for students pursuing careers in equine science, veterinary medicine, or animal husbandry. Interns will participate in the care and handling of young horses, as well as assist with veterinary and farrier work during a critical period of development for our weanlings and yearlings. Interns will gain insight into the daily operations of a high-performance horse ranch.


Intern Responsibilities:

  • Daily observation and general care of weanlings and yearlings

  • Participate in weanling halter-breaking and basic ground manners training

  • Assist resident veterinarians with daily medical treatments, procedures, and appointments

  • Observe and assist with surgeries when applicable

  • Assist farriers during routine trimming and shoeing


Ideal Candidate:

A motivated, dependable individual with a strong interest in the equine industry. Previous horse experience is preferred. Interns must be willing to work outdoors in all weather conditions, follow safety protocols, and collaborate effectively with the team.
