About The Brahman Foundation

The Brahman Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting youth and advancing education in the Brahman cattle industry. We provide scholarships, host leadership events, and raise funds to promote opportunities for the next generation of cattlemen and women.


We are seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented Executive Coordinator to manage the day-to-day operations of the Foundation. This role offers flexible remote work with occasional in-person event requirements. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, capable of managing both slow and high-intensity periods, and passionate about supporting youth in agriculture.


Position Overview

The Executive Coordinator will be responsible for the Foundation’s financial administration, event coordination, scholarship management, and sponsorship/donor relations. Workload varies significantly throughout the year, with light duties (approximately 10 hours/month) for certain months and heavier workloads (80–120 hours/month) during peak months.


Key Responsibilities

Financial Management

  • Maintain and update QuickBooks Online, ensuring accurate and timely bookkeeping.

  • Process invoices, bill payments, and deposits.

  • Issue scholarship payments to recipients.

  • Prepare basic financial reports for the Board of Directors.

  • Prepare and execute annual budget 


Scholarship Program Administration (Approximately 50 students)

  • Manage the scholarship application process, including collecting and organizing applications.

  • Coordinate scholarship interview schedules and logistics.

  • Plan and facilitate the annual scholarship banquet.


Event Coordination

  • Facilitate quarterly board meetings

  • Plan and oversee the Foundation’s annual summer leadership camp for approximately 40 students (3–5 days in person).

  • Coordinate 1–2 fundraising events annually, including:

    • An online fundraiser (e.g., cattle or genetics sale)

    • An in-person major fundraiser event

  • Attend and assist with the Brahman All-American event (3 days in person each summer).


Sponsorship & Donor Relations

  • Manage incoming donations and acknowledgments.

  • Solicit sponsorships from annual donors and corporate sponsors.

  • Maintain sponsor and donor records.


Marketing and Social Media Coordination

  • Manage the Foundation’s social media presence (light year-round posting; increased activity during events and scholarship season).

  • Create and schedule posts, stories, and event updates in alignment with the Foundation’s mission.

  • Maintain updated content on Foundation website 


Qualifications

  • Proficiency in QuickBooks Online with proven bookkeeping experience.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Event planning and coordination experience preferred.

  • Comfortable working independently and reporting to a Board of Directors.

  • Ability to travel for required events (2–3 times per year).

  • Familiarity with agriculture, cattle industry, or youth organizations is a plus.


Compensation & Hours

  • Part-time, contract position with variable monthly hours. A pro-rated monthly stipend will be paid for “light” months (7 months) and peak months (5 months) for a total compensation of $15,000 per year. 

  • Light workload (approx. 10 hours/month) for most of the year; heavy workload (80–120 hours/month) during peak seasons of the summer (scholarship period, camp, fundraisers).
