Event and Communications Coordinator - Trans Ova Genetics

Job Description


Position Purpose:  Assist our marketing management team with website management, media relations, social media, and newsletters. 


Location: The ideal candidate would live close to the Sioux Center Iowa area with the ability to work from home some days and commute into the office, but we are open to candidates that are remote across the United States and travel into our HQ offices on an every other month basis. 


Key Responsibilities: 

  • Executes marketing communication plans to support marketing and business growth. 

  • Provide world class client service to both internal and external clients. 

  • Should keep abreast with the knowledge of competitors and their marketing strategies. 

  • Interact with clients through written, verbal, and face to face interactions. 

  • Manage website and social media content.  

  • Should keep abreast with the knowledge of latest SEO trends. 

  • Utilize digital marketing tools for outreach, promotion and follow up. 

  • Social Media Management: 

    • Manage and grow our social media presence by creating and sharing compelling content. 

    • Monitor social media channels, engage with the audience, and respond to comments and messages. 

  • Analytics and Reporting: 

    • Use analytics tools to track and measure the performance of content marketing efforts. 

    • Provide regular reports on key metrics and use data to optimize content strategies.  

  • Event Support:  

    • Assist marketing management with event and trade show coordination and execution. 

    • Optimize communication channels pre and post event. 

    • Some travel to events and trade shows required.  

  • Collaboration: 

    • Work closely with the marketing team and other stakeholders to ensure a cohesive and integrated approach to content creation and distribution.

  • Should exhibit exceptional communication skills to develop strong professional relationship with the team members as well as the clients. 

  • Should possess thorough knowledge of the organization's products as well as that of the competitors. 

  • Should be aggressive to stay ahead of others in the market. 

  • Should implement new strategies and constantly upgrade on the marketing techniques for the new and the old products. 

  • Should have multitasking ability and should be able to handle multiple projects and complete them on the given deadline. 

  • Should have a business acumen, good researching skills and should be well-versed with the computers. 


Education Requirements: 

B.S. in Marketing, Business, Animal Science, Ag Business, Ag Communication or Agriculture Sciences is preferred


Physical Requirements/Working Conditions: 

Environment will mostly be office setting with some on-farm visits and industry events.  Ability to stand for long periods of time and carry on conversations with clients concerning our services. Some travel will be necessary. 


Other skills/experience: 

  • Knowledge and/or Experience with HubSpot Marketing management and Sprout Social not required but preferred.  

  • Knowledge and/or Experience with social media business accounts.  

  • Proficiency with a computer including WordPress, Excel, Power Point and Word. 

  • High degree of professionalism is required. 

  • Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills. 

  • Strong interpersonal, communication, written skillset. 

  • Passion for livestock industry and serving internal and external clientele.
