The American Soybean Association (ASA) seeks a director of publications and visual resources. This position is in ASA’s St. Louis, Missouri headquarters and requires in-office presence of at least three days per week, with the ability to work remotely up to two days per week.
Experience managing and publishing a magazine is required. The director: manages production of all in-house ASA publications, including publishing a quarterly magazine; manages development and production of ASA videos for various ASA projects and events; produces and directs the annual ASA Awards Celebration; helps develop and implement marketing plans for ASA to increase awareness and understanding of ASA’s membership, corporate support, state relations, and leadership development; manages collateral marketing/communications materials development, including ASA brochures, ads and other print assets; works with ASA’s communications and marketing team to determine marketing and communication strategy for specific programs, events and initiatives, including development and implementation of advertising campaigns, and; leads the development and implementation of market research projects as needed.
ASA is a national trade association that advocates on behalf of U.S. soybean farmers on domestic and international trade issues. It is the collective voice of nearly 500,000 producers in the 30 primary soybean-producing states, represented by 26 state affiliate members. ASA has offices in both St. Louis, Missouri, and Washington, D.C. This position reports to the Senior Director of Communications and Marketing.

What we need:
Experience (5 years minimum) of job-related experience or equivalent combination of education and work experience
Demonstrated management experience in budgeting and project development
Exceptional writing and editing skills
Trade association or membership organization experience a plus
Familiarity with U.S. agriculture preferred
Relevant computer skills: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook, etc.
Exceptional organizational and collaborative skills
Can-do attitude
Team-oriented approach
Up to 10% travel
Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, journalism, public relations, or related field
