About Our Team:
Oklahoma ABLE Tech is funded primarily through the Administration for Community Living of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, made possible through the Assistive Technology (AT) Act of 1998, as amended in 2022 (ATA 2022). ABLE Tech is Oklahoma’s AT Act Program. Our mission is to improve the lives of Oklahomans by providing increased access to and acquisition of needed AT devices and services, digital accessibility services, advocacy, and education.
This position will primarily provide digital media communications support for OSU Accessibility Programs including Oklahoma ABLE Tech, OSU-Stillwater Student Accessibility Services, the Special Education Resolution Center, and the Oklahoma Rehabilitation Council. The position will work with the Accessible Communications Coordinator to optimize the digital presence of OSU Accessibility Programs in a manner that meets or exceeds Federal 508 and/or state accessibility standards. Training in accessibility practices is available.
This position is based in Stillwater, OK, with the opportunity to pursue a hybrid/remote schedule after a successful 90-day review. Any hybrid/remote availability is contingent upon approval by University Human Resources in consideration of OSU policies, labor laws, and suitability to the work of the position/department. If remote work is approved, employee may not have an office on campus.
Detailed responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Develop new and edit/migrate existing website content and webpages. Develop written content for blogs and Success Stories. Work with Social Media Intern to coordinate social media efforts and maintain a complete content calendar. Monitor web and email analytics and present monthly reports to supervisor; make recommendations and adjustments based on data and analytics. Create and execute monthly and as-needed email campaigns. Create and maintain templates and resources for preparing content for web projects. Proofread digital and print media deliverables. Use Asana project management software to track tasks and project milestones. Use Microsoft Teams to communicate with colleagues and store/retrieve project files. The individual should demonstrate self-direction, creativity, and strategic thinking in finding new opportunities to showcase Oklahoma ABLE Tech and related programs.
Both in-state and out-of-state travel may be necessary to provide and/or receive training and technical assistance related to digital accessibility. Typical work hours fall between Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., but some evening and weekend hours may be required.
May be required to load and unload to set up for in-person conferences and other events. Must be able to lift 10-50 lbs. Job duties may require sitting at a desk/in front of a computer for long hours at a time.

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Agricultural Communications, Marketing, Web Development, or a related field.
Two years of experience in copywriting, design, marketing, or communications and displayed proficiency in web design or social media marketing.
Demonstrated work experience in creating engaging free and/or paid advertising, social media, email marketing, and other traditional digital marketing content. A successful candidate must be highly creative and self-motivated. They must have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with a wide variety of people. They must demonstrate excellence in service principles, including accountability, timely communication, and quality results.
Preferred Qualifications:
Three or more years of experience in marketing, advertising, social media, web design, or related. Intermediate experience in web design (using a content management system (CMS)).
Experience in photography. Experience with tagging, editing, and digital file storage. Experience in video creation for incorporation into web, email and social media. Experience creating digitally accessible content. Experience with HTML and CSS.
