Content Creator - Solo Select Horses

Full-Time • Gainesville, TX • Closes June 8

Job Description: Solo Select is hiring a Content Creator to support video, photo, and written content needs across all brands.  This is an on-site, full-time position for someone who can film, edit, organize, and publish high-quality content on deadline. Strong writing skills are essential-this role involves writing captions, basic scripts, basic news stories and short promotional blurbs. Our organization collectively reaches hundreds of millions of viewers each year, and we’re looking for someone ready to jump in and work alongside us with the same drive and integrity that built this brand. If you’re ready to lead the western industry in equine media and create content that reflects who we are, come be part of The Very Best.

You’ll work directly with a team to hit tight turnaround times, travel to shows to gather content, and monitor stallions, sale graduates and stallion offspring performance across the western discipline.

The Perfect Fit: You’re a content creator who sees Western performance horses as more than just a subject - you live it. You know the horses, the trainers, and what makes a video or caption actually resonate. You’re not afraid to film all day in the arena or stay late during sale week to get the right shots. You’re the kind of teammate who jumps in wherever needed - whether that’s filming a stallion, writing a news story on a winning sale graduate, or grabbing behind-the-scenes content at a weekend show.

Key Responsibilities:

Filming & Content Capture

  • Film and Photograph sale horses, stallions, shows and behind-the-scenes ranch content

  • Shoot short-form interviews and product clips as needed

  • Understand which views, angles, and movement matter for discipline-specific horses (cutting, reining, roping, cow horse, etc.)

  • Handle professional equipment (Canon R5, wireless mics, lighting) confidently—or be willing to learn fast

  • Edit clean, scroll-stopping clips using Final Cut Pro or similar software

  • Edit photos for sale horses and stallion/ranch/brand promotion

  • Organize files and upload for review on schedule

  • Help curate accurate, timely social media posts that align with the brand

What We’re Looking For:

  • Extensive horse experience required. If you don’t know what makes a good shot, this won’t be the right fit

  • Experience showing, loping horses, or filming/photographing performance horses is a big plus

  • Comfortable working behind the camera and behind the laptop

  • Bonus: Experience with Canon R5, Final Cut Pro, and audio/light setups

  • Organized, fast-moving, and able to follow direction with minimal hand-holding

  • Willing to travel and work some weekends/evenings for capturing content at events. All travel expenses will be paid.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Pay at and above industry standard, based on experience and training needed

  • Work out of a brand-new office, fully equipped with top-of-the-line gear—cameras, lighting, editing setups, and everything you need to do the job right.

  • Full health benefits package available

  • 401k with 4% matching after 12 months

  • On-site housing available

  • Opportunities for growth in a fast-paced, nationally recognized brand
