Full-Time Remote


About: World Perspectives, Inc. (WPI), an Arlington, Virginia-based international commodity market analysis and consulting firm, is seeking a detail-oriented Communications Manager to join our team. This full-time remote role is ideal for someone with strong editing and communications skills and an interest in global agricultural markets.


In this role, you will help shape how market intelligence is communicated to senior decision-makers in the global grain and oilseed industries. You will work closely with a small, highly collaborative team of market analysts and consultants while reporting directly to WPI’s President.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Edit and format written reports from WPI analysts located around the world.

  • Ensure reports meet WPI’s standards for market relevance, clarity, and technical compliance.

  • Post finalized reports to the company’s web platform and help maintain a consistent publication schedule.

  • Provide constructive feedback to WPI analysts on structure, clarity, and opportunities for report improvement.

  • Manage WPI’s social media accounts, with a focus on growing engagement and driving new users to the website.

  • Publish a weekly ghostwritten report for a WPI client.

  • Update various databases using Microsoft Excel.

  • Assist with creation of the weekly Transportation Report.

  • Assist, as needed, with bespoke consulting projects, including background research, writing, and report editing


About WPI: WPI serves a global clientele including major multinational grain trading companies, government agencies, and producer groups. Our work supports informed decision-making in agricultural markets worldwide. Our company operates in two primary fields: boutique market analysis and bespoke consulting in the agricultural industry. The Communications Manager will primarily serve the market analysis field but will spend approximately 25 percent of their week supporting consulting efforts as well.


Qualifications:

  • Experience in editing and publishing (journalism, technical writing, communications, or similar).

  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Agricultural Communications, Agricultural Leadership, Agricultural Economics, Business, Agribusiness Management or a closely related field.

  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

  • Knowledge of statistical program R is a plus but not required.

  • Familiarity with agriculture and commodity markets is a plus.

  • Comfortable working independently in a remote environment and collaborating across time zones via email and video calls.

  • Strong teamwork skills.


Travel: This role is expected to travel on less than 5 percent of working days.


Expected Salary: WPI anticipates this role will be paid an annual salary of $60,000+ depending on the applicant’s experience and expertise.
