Communications Manager - Iowa Renewable Fuels Association (IRFA)

The Iowa Renewable Fuels Association (IRFA), headquartered in West Des Moines, Iowa, is seeking qualified applicants to serve as the trade association's Communications Manager. Reporting directly to the Executive Director, the Communications Manager will oversee and implement all communications activities with the media, association members, and the public. This will include social media efforts, such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and the association's webpage. In addition, the successful applicant will also assist IRFA team members with event planning activities.

The ideal candidate will be a self-started, an applicable bachelor's degree plus a minimum of one to two years of communications work experience. The applicant should be comfortable in a fast-paced environment, capable of managing several tasks simultaneously, extremely organized, able to work well in team situations, and be just as efficient handling the mundane daily duties as major events.

Knowledge of the renewable fuels industry and U.S. agriculture is a plus but not required. Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Acrobat DC), Canva, WordPress website, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Constant Contact, and other social media and creative applications is preferred.
