Assistant Fair Coordinator – Wharton County Youth Fair

Full-Time • Wharton County, TX


Location: On-site Job Type: Full-Time (flexible hours June – December)


Overview: Join our dynamic team and help bring the excitement and organization behind the scenes of our annual fair to life! As the Assistant Fair Coordinator, you'll play a key role in supporting operations, managing vendors, coordinating logistics, and ensuring everything runs smoothly—from setup to closing day.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Support planning and execution of fair events and logistics

  • Maintain financial records and assist with budgeting using QuickBooks

  • Communicate with vendors, staff, and volunteers to ensure timelines are met

  • Coordinate schedules, meetings, and documentation

  • Assist in inventory, supplies management and ordering prizes & awards

  • Help cultivate a positive, efficient, and fun fair experience for all


Qualifications:

  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)

  • Working knowledge of QuickBooks & ShoWorks (Fair exhibitor software) a plus

  • Detail-oriented, reliable, and able to juggle multiple tasks

  • Associate’s degree required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
