Account Coordinator - Martinez Media & Marketing Group

Full-Time • Manhattan, KS


The Martinez Media & Marketing Group is growing, and we want to expand our team dedicated to supporting our clients. This is a full-time position. We expect about 85% of your time would be dedicated to the marketing side of the business and approximately 15% of your time to the media side of the business.


Qualifications:

  • 1-3 years of experience working in communications or marketing

  • Great attention to detail

  • Independently motivated

  • Willing to learn new tasks

  • Graphic design experience is preferred but not required

  • Ability to learn photo and video capture and editing systems

  • Experience working with event coordination

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills


The responsibilities of this role are outlined below. While the way this position supports each client may differ, the core responsibilities remain the same:

Content:

  • Coordination of interviews in person, virtually and over the phone

  • Conducting interviews

  • Post-interview processing of interview content focused on capturing transcripts, working with content matrices, identifying soundbites and drafting articles

  • Writing social media, web content, newsletters and blog posts

  • Work with Account Supervisors & Events and Marketing Director on content strategy and execution

  • Assist with scheduling social media posts through scheduling tools

Stats and Reporting:

  • Work with the team to pull monthly and quarterly stats for clients

  • Analyze insights and create client reports

  • Work with Account Supervisors & Events and Marketing Director to create recommendations based on reporting and insights.

Event Coordination

  • Work with the CEO and Events and Marketing Director on planning and executing client events

  • Responsibilities may vary depending on the event, but could include coordinating with vendors, managing registration, creating attendee outreach materials, drafting social media content, overseeing day-of execution, and collaborating with on-site teams and clients.

  • Photo and video content capture and production

    • Work with COO and Photo and Video Specialist to support photo and video shoots as needed. This could include but not limited to conducting interviews, capturing events or client photo shoots.

    • Continue to train and refine skills on photo and video capture and production with internal team and potential external training

  • Additional responsibilities may be assigned as the role evolves based on client needs. Any changes to roles and responsibilities will be discussed with the coordinator.


As a team member, you'll be supported with the following:

  • Apple laptop

  • Reimbursement for mileage to and from meetings and work functions. All work-related travel expenses are covered. Travel expectations will be discussed before any work-related travel.

  • Project management tools and training

  • Online and computer programs as needed

  • CEO and Account supervisors will provide ongoing support and feedback in addition to monthly goal reviews and overview check-ins


Logistics/workplace:

  • This role is located in the MMMG Manhattan, Kansas office. We will expect this role to be in the office daily, except when you are needed on-site for client or business-related activities.

  • You'll need to have the ability to travel for projects as needed.

  • This role will report to the CEO, but you will work with the Account Supervisors, Events and Marketing Director and COO as needed.

  • This full-time, exempt position is eligible for the company's plan for health reimbursement, PTO immediately and a 401K program after one year of employment.
