Internship • Stillwater, OK


Description

The intern will work independently and closely with Anne Kimmey, Executive Director of the OSU Animal Science Alumni Association (ASAA), based in Suite 201 of the Animal Science Building. The intern will collaborate with the Department of Animal and Food Sciences faculty/staff and ASAA Board Members on communications, marketing, and event planning throughout the year.


Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute communication/marketing materials for ASAA events (Board Meetings, Gala Reunion, Fall Tailgate, etc.)

  • Manage social media strategy and website content

  • Support event planning for the Fall Tailgate and Spring Gala Reunion

  • Communicate with Scholarship Auction donors, alumni, faculty, and staff

  • Process and maintain ASAA memberships

  • Assist with other duties as they arise


Details

  • 15–20 hours/week, flexible around class schedule

  • Paid position

  • Must be available to help set up the ASAA Gala Reunion on April 3, 2027, and any other events as needed.


Qualifications

  • Must be enrolled in the Ferguson College of Agriculture (preference given to sophomore/junior Animal & Food Sciences or Agricultural Communications majors)

  • Strong writing and communication skills

  • Proficient in Word, Excel, and Outlook

  • Experience with social media platforms, content management, and strategy

  • Familiarity with design/layout tools (Adobe Creative Suite or Canva)
