Agricultural students with training in journalism or communications are invited to apply for

Progressive Publishing's 2026 editorial internship program. The deadline for application

consideration is Jan. 2, 2026, for U.S. residents or Jan. 30, 2026, for Canadian residents.

Editorial interns will contribute by writing feature and news articles for one or more of

Progressive Publishing's agricultural magazines: Progressive Dairy, Progressive Dairy –

Canada and Progressive Ca1le – Canada. Interns will also engage in copy editing, photography and other aspects of producing both digital and print content. The program can be customized to fit the intern’s specific skills, including design, web content creation, social media management and marketing.


Eligibility requirements

  • Academic performance: Applicants should have a GPA of 3.0 or higher.

  • Writing experience: Previous writing experience is highly valued.

  • Academic standing: Preference is given to students who have completed their junior or senior year coursework. Graduating seniors are also encouraged to apply.

  • Agricultural background: While a background in dairy or agriculture is not required, it is preferred. Applicants with experience and knowledge of the industry will have an

    advantage.


Internship Details

  • Location: The internship is based at Progressive Publishing's headquarters in Jerome,

    Idaho, but strong remote candidates will be considered.

  • Compensation: This is a paid internship.

  • Housing and transportation: Assistance in finding housing and arranging transportation

    will be provided.

  • Duration: Internships typically last eight to 10 weeks, with flexible start and end dates to accommodate academic schedules
