Online Module Student Worker - OSU 4-H Youth Development

The 4-H Youth Development department seeks a creative student worker/graduate student who has initiative and skills to transform classroom lessons into fun, interactive online learning modules for adult 4-H volunteers.  Duties will include collaborating with state specialists to create, customize, and test modules which can track the progress and performance of the learner. Finished products may include or support gamification, multimedia content, and mobile learning. Interest or experience in designing curricula and training programs a plus.


Other duties will include creating and editing photos and videos, formatting and editing lessons/curriculum, and other duties as assigned.


Qualities for a successful candidate

  • Must be trustworthy, responsible, and able to follow instructions (both verbal and written).

  • Team player

  • Ability to focus, work independently with minimal supervision.

  • Graphic design skills

  • An understanding of how people learn.

  • Attention to detail (i.e. proofreading skills, testing of module, etc.)

  • Organized and timely in completing projects.

  • Comfortable with technology and able to learn new instructional software.


Familiarity with the following resources preferred:  Articulate Storyline, Articulate-360, Office 365, Canva, Doodly, Facebook, Instagram and Snapchat, and Adobe Creative including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Film editor, Lightroom, and Premier (Adobe video editing).


Approximately 20/hr. week. Students should have time slots of consecutive work availability of at least 3-4 hours during several days of the week.  (example work schedule - 8-12 MWF, or 12-5 TR, or something similar).
