Marketing and Digital Communications Intern - OSU Dept. of Human Development and Family Science

This position is a part of the InternOSU Program. Along with fulfilling standard job responsibilities, you will participate in OSU Career Services professional development activities.


Marketing and Digital Communications Partners work within the Center for Developmental Disabilities (CDD) to create content regarding the mission of Opportunity Orange Scholars and other programs housed within the CDD. Those selected for this position must exhibit exceptional organizational skills and the ability to work independently to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines, including the capacity to self-motivate and build structure where none exists. Marketing and Digital Communications Partners must have an academic status of Sophomore or higher at the time of employment. Marketing and Digital Communications Partners must possess a 2.5 GPA at the time of application and hire. While employed with OOS, a GPA of 2.5 must be maintained.  OOS team members help to establish a positive, supportive, and inclusive education and learning environment for all students.


SPECIFIC DUTIES MAY INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Identify and organize content including images, video, social clips, and files for streamlined access within the CDD resource library

  • Maintain strong internal communication; participate in OOS team meetings; other activities as assigned

  • Create engaging social media content and work with CDD leadership on ways to expand our digital footprint

  • Collaborate with staff on new ideas, directions, and venues for marketing and communications

  • Social media account management including scheduling posts, monitoring inboxes, and responding to comments and messages
