This position is a part of the InternOSU Program. Along with fulfilling standard job responsibilities, you will participate in OSU Career Services professional development activities.
The center for Student-Athlete Leadership & Professional Development (SADV), located within OSU Athletics, is seeking a Student-Athlete Engagement Intern, focusing on marketing, graphic design, & communications. The intern will work closely with center staff and the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee to create fliers, promotional communications, digital media content, and other engagement tasks as assigned by SAAC and the SADV staff.
Qualifications:-
Currently enrolled full-time at OSU- Self-motivated, enthusiastic, learning-focused, and organized
Creative with knowledge and/or experience in communications, marketing, event coordinating or other related field
Knowledge of social media content and engaging audiences
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills are essential to this role
Proven experience creating marketing and communications content
Detailed-oriented, adaptable, and capable of completing tasks in a timely manner
Responsibilities:
Create engaging, sharable content such as social media posts, articles, videos, & email communications to various audiences such as
Coaches, internal staff, fans, student-athletes, campus staff, etc…
Work with SAAC advisor and executive committee to create content and communications; coordinate events and handle logistics; edit written work and adapt to various audiences
Assist in creating digital content for website use
Assist SAAC advisor with coordinating SAAC meetings, events, and other needs
Other duties as assigned
Other:Hours are flexible based on the student’s class schedule. Must be able to work 10 – 15 hours per week, between the hours of 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.; some nights and/or weekends as required. Travel may be required, depending on the event. We encourage all interns to participate in professional development and will pay for specialized training at the Director’s discretion. Required training includes: FERPA, Working with Minors
