Do you love western culture, PRCA rodeos, country music, or event promotion?
Lone Star PR — a Western lifestyle, sports & entertainment PR firm based in Stillwater — is looking for a motivated spring intern to join our fast-paced, creative team.
What You’ll Get to Do:
Social Media Content & Strategy
Create and schedule posts for Lone Star PR and client accounts
Work directly with PRCA rodeos, country artists & western brands
Learn real-world content strategy, analytics & branding
Tour Press, Media Pitching & List Building
Build targeted media lists using MyEmma
Assist with pitching press for artist tours, single releases, and rodeo events
Learn how to communicate with editors, newsrooms, and entertainment outlets
Press Materials & Creative Writing
Draft media alerts, press releases, artist bios & event copy
Gain published writing samples to use in portfolios and future job applications
Sponsorship & Brand Partnerships
Brainstorm creative sponsorship ideas
Research marketing contacts and help pitch potential sponsors
Learn how real partnership deals are built in the western entertainment industry
Media & Contact Management
Update LSPR’s media and sponsor databases
Track press coverage and compile client media reports
Website & Digital Updates
Edit and update website content for Lone Star PR and its clients
Learn the basics of creative content placement, layout, and digital storytelling
Bonus Skills (Not Required, but Awesome If You Have Them):
Graphic design / Canva
Photography
Video editing for social
TikTok/Reels experience
