Are you a creative and driven individual looking to jumpstart your career in graphic design? Join our team as a Graphic Design Intern and work alongside our Creative Director and Art Director to create stunning graphics, illustrations, layouts, and design elements for a variety of exciting projects. In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to expand your skills in graphic design software, including Adobe Creative Suite, while maintaining consistency in design elements, fonts, colors, and branding guidelines across diverse materials. As a marketing intern, you will collaborate with our marketing team in all stages of marketing campaigns. Ultimately, you will gain broad experience in marketing and should be prepared to enter any fast paced work environment. The ideal candidate will be dedicated, self-starting, and eager to learn the ins and outs of Marketing. Through this process, they will have the opportunity to develop their skills in graphic design, social media, photography, digital marketing, and more. Responsibilities:
Work alongside our Creative Director and Art Director to create graphics, illustrations, layouts, and other design elements for various projects while maintaining consistency in design elements, fonts, colors, and branding guidelines across various materials
Get real world experience and improve skills in graphic design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
Conduct research to gather inspiration, references, and trends that can inform design decisions
Assist in creating visual content for social media, websites, marketing materials, and other platforms
Organize and maintain design files, ensuring they are easily accessible and well-structured
Manage workload and adhere to project deadlines to ensure timely delivery of design assets
Edit and retouch images to enhance their quality and suitability for specific projects
Be open to taking on different design tasks, from digital graphics to print materials, to gain a well-rounded understanding of graphic design
Manage digital content utilizing platforms including Canto, Dropbox, and Adobe Bridge
Assist with preparation and execution of photo/video content shoots
Support the marketing team in daily tasks
Various administrative tasks
Requirements:
Current enrollment or degree in a related BS or Masters program
Must be able to work in our Decatur, TX office
Must have reliable transportation and phone
Experience working with Adobe Software
Entry level knowledge in Graphic Design
Ability to quickly learn and process information
Organization and time management skills
Strong desire to learn along with professional drive
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
