Overview: Lazy E Arena is looking for a creative, strategic, and detail-oriented Communications Coordinator to join our team. This role is responsible for crafting compelling content, executing marketing campaigns, and enhancing our arena’s brand through storytelling, social media, and community engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
Content Creation & Strategy
Develop and manage content across digital platforms, including website, email newsletters, social media, and digital
Work with the director to work on engaging copy for event promotions, press releases, blog posts, and internal communications
Graphic design and photographers/videography work to deliver cohesive visual and written content
Capture behind-the-scenes content during live events and arena activities
Marketing & Communications
Assist with the development and implementation of annual marketing strategies and event-specific campaigns
Coordinate with sponsors, partners, and event promoters on marketing collateral and messaging
Support director’s advertising buys (digital, radio, print, and social) and track performance metrics
Monitor press coverage and manage media lists and outreach
Develop post-event recaps and reports
Social Media Management
Manage day-to-day posting and engagement across all social platforms (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter/X, TikTok, YouTube, etc.)
Monitor trends, fan engagement, and analytics to optimize content and grow audience
Execute live social coverage during events and coordinate influencer/ambassador programs
Community Relations & Branding
Maintain consistent voice and branding across all touchpoints
Represent the arena in local outreach efforts and cross-promotions with community organizations
Support fan experience initiatives with creative content
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or related field
1–3 years of experience in marketing, PR, or digital media (experience in sports, live events, or entertainment is a plus)
Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills
Proficient in content management systems (WordPress), email marketing tools, and social media scheduling platforms
Working knowledge of design tools- Adobe Creative Suite is a plus
Strong organizational skills and ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends during events
