About Field of Hope: Field of Hope is dedicated to building resilience in livelihood, food, and nutritional security in resource-constrained communities through youth agricultural education, smallholder farmer advancement, and leadership development in Uganda. This work empowers communities by providing sustainable agricultural education, training, and support, fostering a future where Ugandan farmers, students, and families can thrive.


Job Description: We are seeking a Communication and Donor Strategist + Grant Researcher/Writer to join us on a 10-week consultancy (15 hours per week, $5,000 total, roughly $33 per hour) with the potential for extension. This role is crucial in helping Field of Hope identify grant opportunities, apply for funding, and develop a donor strategy to expand our network of supporters. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, proactive, and passionate about agricultural development and non-profit sustainability.


Responsibilities:

  • Grant Research and Writing - Identify relevant funding opportunities, write compelling applications, and submit grant proposals.

  • Donor Strategy Development - Create a structured approach for engaging and growing our donor base.

  • Collaboration - Meet weekly with the Executive Director to discuss progress and next steps.

  • Reporting- Provide brief weekly updates on accomplishments on ongoing and completed tasks.
