The Texas Tech Alumni Association seeks a qualified and enthusiastic individual to serve as communications coordinator to help further our TTAA mission. The communications coordinator will be responsible for assisting with all traditional and digital communications, marketing efforts, comprehensive campaigns, web operations, public relations and social media. Job Responsibilities:
Manage the Alumni Association's daily social media efforts including editorial calendars, optimizing platforms for increased visibility, active social listening, monitor trends, set KPIs for social campaigns, analyze data and interact with alumni via TTAA accounts.
Assist with the Alumni Association's email marketing efforts, including alumni newsletter, chapter communications, and promotion of alumni membership campaigns, partners, programs, events and merchandise.
Assist with maintenance of the Texas Tech Alumni Association website and alumni database.
Assist with the maintenance and usage of the TTAA mobile app.
Write and edit announcements, news releases, articles, newsletters and other original content for use on website, email and social media.
Assist with the development and implementation of annual membership campaigns.
Manage the TTAA email inbox and respond to alumni feedback and questions.
Coordinate and produce photos, videos and other multimedia content.
Assist in the development and design of printed materials, including membership calendar, brochures, postcards, membership letters, event invitations, programs, advertisements, flyers, etc.
Assist with advertising sales in Texas Techsan magazine.
Represent Alumni Association and assist at alumni events, external committee meetings and with outside agencies.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in communication, marketing, journalism, public relations or a
directly related field.
A minimum of two years' experience in communications, marketing or public relations field.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience in alumni relations or higher education.
Knowledge/Skills/Ability:
Excellent written, oral and interpersonal communication skills.
Outstanding customer service skills.
Detail oriented with strong organizational, planning and time-management skills and the ability to balance multiple priorities.
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to recognize issues and suggest and/or
implement appropriate solutions as needed.
Ability to be a team player and look at the big picture.
Ability to interact and work collaboratively with association leadership, TTAA National Board members, and university leadership.
Self-starter.
Able to work occasional evenings and weekends.
Proficiency with software and technology including all Microsoft Office programs,
Adobe Creative Suite, social media and marketing tools.
Photography & videography skills.
Web editing - HTML or WYSIWYG
