Western Media specializes in professional livestream production for rodeos, livestock shows, equine events, and Western sports nationwide. We provide high-quality broadcasts, on-site video production, and advertising opportunities for event organizers, associations, and sponsors.


Position Overview

We are seeking motivated Camera & Computer Operator Interns to join our production team. This internship offers hands-on experience in live event broadcasting, with opportunities to operate professional video equipment, assist in technical setups, and support event livestream production.


Responsibilities

  • Operate cameras during live events, ensuring steady shots and smooth coverage.

  • Assist with setup and breakdown of production equipment (cameras, cables, monitors, etc.).

  • Work with the livestream producer to manage switching, graphics, and commercials from the production computer.

  • Monitor video quality, audio levels, and streaming performance during broadcasts.

  • Follow direction in a fast-paced, live-event environment.

  • Support the production crew in additional tasks as needed.


Qualifications

  • Interest in video production, broadcasting, or event management (prior experience helpful but not required).

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.

  • Willingness to learn livestream software and camera operation.

  • Comfortable working long hours, including evenings and weekends.

  • Ability to travel for multi-day events.

    • Some events are local for those who may not be interested in travel.

  • Team player with a positive, professional attitude.
