JOB SUMMARY:
The National FFA invites applications for an 18-week internship at our headquarters in Indianapolis, IN, running from mid-July to mid-November.
We are seeking a motivated intern to join our Awards and Recognition team, focusing on the coordination and execution of our prestigious national award programs and competitive events. These include the Agriscience Fair, American Star, National Chapter, Agricultural Proficiency Award, and Career & Leadership Development Events, all culminating in the National FFA Convention & Expo, slated for October 22 to October 26, 2024, in Indianapolis.
Starting in June, the intern will play a vital role in facilitating national awards judging activities. Responsibilities will involve managing multiple Zoom accounts, facilitating concurrent meetings, organizing and preparing awards, as well as developing scripts and PowerPoint presentations for finals hall sessions.
In addition, the intern will collaborate with the CDE/LDE team to compile convention materials, coordinate committee travel arrangements, manage housing logistics, and facilitate communication with event superintendents and committee members.
This role demands meticulous attention to detail, exceptional organizational and time management skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word), Zoom, Google Classroom, and JotForm platforms is preferred. EDUCATION:
Enrollment in or a graduate of post-secondary studies is required. Interested areas of study include Business Management, Tourism, Hospitality, Convention, Meeting, Special Event Planning, Agricultural majors/programs, or Ag Education. |
EXPERIENCE:
Previous experience in event planning & logistics is a plus. Knowledge of the National FFA Organization, awards
and competitive event programs, specifically Career and Leadership Development Events is helpful.
