American Gelbvieh Association Internship

The American Gelbvieh Association (AGA) is seeking a highly motivated student with interest in beef cattle for the following paid internship opportunity available for Summer 2024. Internship is from May to August with start and end dates flexible.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist with preparations for the American Gelbvieh Junior Association junior national show including entries, registrations, and contests.

• Attend junior national show in Woodward, Oklahoma June 30–July 5, 2024, and responsible for assisting with contests, point tabulation and other various duties as deemed necessary.

• Assist AGA members and customers with submitting, recording, and reporting data, and general member services via phone, email, and in-person.

• Assist marketing team with bull sale price analysis and other communications efforts.

• Additional responsibilities may be included throughout the internship as opportunities arise.

• Attend regional shows and assist with necessary preparations and events activities.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Beef cattle or livestock background (preferred).

• Agriculture major (preferred).

• Self-motivated, professional, and detail oriented.

• Interest and ability to work effectively with AGA members and customers.

• Professional verbal and written communication skills.

• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

• Computer skills including Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).

NOTE: Interns are responsible for their own housing.
