SUMMARY DESCRIPTION
The Vice President, Marketing and Communications oversees all marketing, communications, and public relations activities of WatersEdge. This includes the development and implementation of the annual marketing plan and support of the mission of WatersEdge through all forms of print and media.
REPORTING
The Vice President, Marketing and Communications reports to the Chief Operating Officer and supervises the Creative Director, Advertising Strategist, and Content Creator.
STATEMENT OF FAITH

BROAD JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Create, maintain, and implement the annual marketing plan and crisis communication policy.
Supervise adherence to the branding standards for WatersEdge.
Plan and maintain the design, layout and content of the websites.
Lead design and publication of all advertisements, press releases, and promotional emphases.
Strategize, schedule, and oversee the process of photographing subjects for articles and publications, including the Baptist Messenger and other periodicals.
Review and update literature and other materials distributed by WatersEdge.
Coordinate special event promotions, including the Convention’s annual meeting and the SBC’s annual meeting.
Develop the theme and content of all printed materials, including Generosity, the annual report, and annual board program and directory.
Select promotional items and design a theme for all WatersEdge booths.
Coordinate communications with outside marketing consultants.
Provide strategic direction and leadership, and foster growth of direct reports via a collaborative and innovative environment.
JOB CLASSIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
This is a full time, exempt position.
As a Christian organization, WatersEdge qualifies for a religious organization exception to Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964. Therefore, this position requires active membership in a Southern Baptist church (which is defined as a church which is cooperating with Oklahoma Baptists) or in a faith-aligned, evangelical church which declares the Bible as the foundation for its faith and practice.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT
This position generally works in an office environment but may occasionally be required to perform job duties outside the typical office setting.
Travel and operation of a vehicle may be required.
