Turning Point Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteer Opportunity

Did you know you can make an impact on the life of a child or young adult in our community by spending one hour a week literally walking beside them?

As a Sidewalker you can be the physical, emotional or behavioral support they need to build life skills in the arena that they can use in everyday life. Be the example of how to follow directions, model good sportsmanship and healthy relationships. As a Horse Leader you can influence the success they are able to reach by partnering with one of our amazing, specially trained therapy horses. There are no pony rides in our arena as you and our horses help riders learn progressive riding skills.

The training dates are listed below. Sessions start the first week of February.

Volunteer Orientation is Mon. January 26th @ 6 p.m.

Horse Leader Training is Wed. January 27th @ 6 p.m.

How do you get involved? Join us for volunteer orientation January 25th at 6 p.m. or email kenzie@turningpointriding.org with questions. We provide all the training needed to work with our riders as a sidewalker or horse leader.
