Ag Communications Internship Overview
This position will work closely with our communications team to contribute to real client work. The Ag Communications Intern will be responsible for a broad range of support for Cultivated Conversations and our clients. This is a remote position. Clients include the National Institute for Animal Agriculture, Merck Animal Health, U.S. Custom Harvesters, Inc., The Kansas City Agricultural Business Council and more.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities
Prepares printed and online content, including press releases, webpages and social media.
Gathers data and analyzes trends to draft client reports.
Prepares presentation decks for client meetings and conferences.
Drafts copy for client and internal documents (newsletters, client training materials, articles), develops presentations, copy, proofreads, edits.
Provides event and meeting coordination support.
Approximately 10 hours a week
Hourly rate: $14/hour
Minimum of a Junior standing in a Bachelor’s or similar 4-year degree program in a related discipline, or Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline, or suitable combination of education and relevant experience preferred.
Excellent writing and editing skills.
Adobe Creative Suite abilities are an added bonus.
Ability to interact and communicate effectively and professionally, and provide exceptional service, both internally and externally at all times.
Ability to work and report to supervisor remotely.
