GENEX is seeking an individual with a dynamic personality and a passion for agriculture to serve as our Social Media Intern for the spring 2022 semester (15 hours per week for 15 weeks, January-April).
The successful candidate will join a remote-based marketing team committed to making a significant impact on the cooperative’s success. This individual will assist in creating and posting content across the company’s various social media platforms, engaging with our customers and members to help grow the GENEX social media footprint, and tracking the success of our digital marketing initiatives.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to network with professionals throughout GENEX (a global agriculture cooperative), our sister companies and our parent company, URUS.
Major Areas of Accountability
Coordinate with the GENEX Marketing Managers to create and post relevant content across our social media platforms. This will include both our dairy and beef accounts.
Provide an engaging environment for our members and customers on our social media channels to grow GENEX’s digital presence.
Assist in the development of digital campaigns that fit with the overarching cooperative marketing campaigns.
Analyze analytics to gauge the success of campaigns.
Provide suggestions to management for improving customer experience on social platforms.
Applicants should be pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Ag Business, Marketing, Animal Science or a related field and have completed classes commensurate with their sophomore year.
Passion for and knowledge of the beef and/or dairy business and willingness to learn.
Excellent written and oral communication and organizational skills.
Demonstrated ability to work well independently and as part of a team.
Evidence of being able to provide online engagement across various social media platforms.
Desire to become an important part of the GENEX Marketing Team and grow our digital presence by engaging with our audience and delivering relevant and dynamic content.
