The Social Media Content Coordinator serves as the voice of the Cavender’s brand to consumers, influencers, stylists and advocates in social media, acting as a key resource in driving our social and digital strategy. The role is an intermediate level position with responsibility over growth and customer acquisition in Social Media. This person is highly engaged with the western fashion industry and western lifestyle events, such as Houston Rodeo, NFR, country music, professional athletes, etc…
This role reports to the Digital Marketing Manager in the Marketing Department. Strong partnerships will be required with the Merchandising and Ecommerce teams. This position will unlock new and innovative ways to bring our business to life within all social platforms, by planning content, engaging with our communities, and working closely with key brand functions.
This position expertly guides content, strategy, engagement and amplification strategies as a producer and storyteller of the brand. The position must process a driven, detailed, creative and passionate personality, focused on productivity and quality. This role must be determined to deliver results through continuous improvement of Cavender all-around experience. The Social Media Content Coordinator is highly visible to internal and external business partners and must operate in a professional manner, representing the Cavender’s brand at all times.
Duties and Responsibilities
Support the “Cavender’s Culture” and drive our Mission, Vision, and Values
Serve as a strong partner and key support resource to the company
Develop a cohesive social media strategy, inclusive of brand-driving and sales-driving initiatives on appropriate social platforms
Oversee day-to-day social media activities which include developing, curating and distributing diverse content on all social platforms, driving customer engagement, and building a social community around the Cavender’s brand through thoughtful, relevant commentary
Support long-term customer acquisition, brand enhancement and monitoring of company’s online reputation.
Onsite social media presence and support at special events; rodeos, grand openings, etc
Content copywriter and creative support for various marketing needs: emails, blog, website, magazines, etc
Lead growth of influencer marketing to extend reach and strengthen brand positioning
Curates and leverages vendor social media partnerships
Leverage western and fashion knowledge to provide creative support and guidance on fashion photo shoots
Collaborate with the in-house marketing and design teams to create effective marketing campaigns
Research and identify emerging social media trends, features and innovative usage
Experiment with new and alternative ways to leverage social media activities to encourage customer engagement and gain insights into customer behavior and buying patterns
Creates and executes special projects as assigned or needed
Ensure all materials are on time, error-free, and optimized to deliver on key performance indicators
Qualifications and Requirements
A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution with a preferred focus in Marketing, Communications, Business or relevant field, or equivalent experience
Minimum 2 years of experience in social media marketing, with verifiable success growing brands using differing strategies on multiple social media platforms
Experience in the western lifestyle and strong knowledge of western fashion is critical
Excellent oral, written and presentation skills
Flexible during times of change
Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a fast-paced environment
Must be hands-on and capable of working independently
Ability to interpret documents
Ability to comprehend complex issues and produce solutions
Based in Tyler, TX at our home office; Tyler area residence
Ability to travel to meet the needs of the company, up to 75%
Preferred Skills
Passionate about social media content and extremely active in that community
Experience with models and fashion photo shoots is a plus
Additional digital marketing experience is a plus
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Knowledge of traditional and digital marketing tools
Action oriented with ability to prioritize and drive results
Ability to work individually on a project or within a team environment
Ability to handle high pressure/stressful situations in a professional manner
