The Public Relations & Content Intern is responsible for providing support to the Public Relations & Content Team within a multidisciplinary team of agency professionals sharing a goal of successfully achieving client satisfaction, business unit profitability, team functionality and performance.
This position has been designed as an internship and will be filled on a temporary hourly basis.
Provide support and assist in the implementation of public relations services as requested by the Public Relations & Content Lead on applicable client accounts:
Photo/video shoot assistance
Media material distribution
Updating media and key influencer database
Other tasks as requested
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Working towards completion of a degree or qualification in public relations, communications, or a related field.
Experience in agricultural marketing communications and/or print/broadcast agricultural communications.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
Demonstrated knowledge of agricultural media (print, digital, broadcast, industry events/tradeshows, interactive, internet, etc).
Strong understanding of, and interest in, public relations.
Strong interpersonal communication skills.
Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to take direction and to multi-task.
Strong writing skills with an understanding of AP Style.
Excellent attention to detail.
Ability to collaborate and work in a team environment.
An inquisitive mind with the ability to be self-motivated and positive.
The PR & Content Intern reports to the Public Relations & Content Lead in the US and is responsible to other members of the PR & Content Team. Preference will be given to Candidates located in Kansas City, MO. This role will run between May and August and Pays $18-20/hr.
