The Oklahoma Department of Agriculture, Food and Forestry (ODAFF) is seeking a full time Public Information Officer in the Executive Office. This position (PIN #04000712) in state government is located in Oklahoma City, OK. This position will lead all communication efforts on behalf of ODAFF and the USDA National Agricultural statistics service projects which include: Annual Oklahoma Ag Statistics Bulletin, Annual Oklahoma Ag Statistics Pocket Facts of Census; crisis response; act as a spokesperson to the general public, the media and conducts media interviews for written pieces, television, social media channels and other media; create talking points for the Cabinet Secretary and the Governor’s cabinet for all ag-related issues; create relationships with agency divisions to learn and understand current news, statuses and situations effecting divisions in order to respond appropriately on their behalf.
