The Oklahoma Tax Commission (OTC) is a government agency administering and enforcing state tax laws. We are currently seeking to fill the position of Public Information and Press Liaison for the Digital Communications & Marketing Division (DC&M). The Public Information and Press Liaison will develop all local media strategy and lead execution, manage press releases and requests from the media, and write guest columns and speeches on behalf of the Oklahoma Tax Commission (OTC). This position will serve as a liaison between the media and public to assist with outreach and education. The Public Information and Press Liaison will be required to be politically astute and have in-depth knowledge about the Oklahoma Tax Commission to explain and answer questions about the agency’s policies, views upon a particular issue, and OTC’s official standpoint on challenging questions.
The ideal candidate will have the knowledge and ability to leverage all media opportunities to support OTC’s goals and mission. They will build and enhance positive press coverage through strategic communications engagement and innovating digital strategies. The ideal candidate will also allow flexibility to support a wide variety of team projects within the DC&M Division, including promoting employee engagement and fostering culture change through various agency activities.
